Protein’d-up Nut Butter Spread
2 tbsp Natural Almond Butter
1 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter
1 scoop Protein Powder
3/4 cup Coconut Milk, Unsweetened (may need more depending on your blender. Start with the least amount possible and gradually add more)
Blend all ingredients together. Keep in the fridge. This spread can be used as a replacement for peanut/almond butter on toast or as a dip for apples or celery or to add in to your smoothies. However you eat it, it is a great way to add some extra protein and nutrients to your nut butters while keeping the flavour high.
Replace coconut milk with almond/rice/hemp milk.
And/or choose vanilla or chocolate flavoured protein powder.
Switch up your nut butters for a new flavour. Or try adding coconut oil.
Add chia seeds, ground flax seeds, hemp seeds, to the mix.
Add vanilla extract, shredded coconut, cinnamon, cacao powder.
