This is me…

Growing up I travelled a lot. Eating my way all over the world. From a very young age I started cooking- mostly out of necessity- but was always a huge fan of food! My favourite food as a child was lobster and, even at 5 years old, was praised for my restaurant etiquette. I would spend hours in the kitchen with my dad and loved to go grocery shopping.

From my pre-teens to my 20’s I was faced with some pretty serious health challenges. Reoccurring cysts and tumours, IBS, migraines, joint pain, the list goes on. At 25 with three surgeries under my belt and with no real answers in sight I decided that it was time to take my health into my own hands.

I began reading and studying, devoting hours into seeking out answers. Of course, being a foodie, the path to becoming a Holistic Nutritionist seemed to be the obvious choice. I aspire to teach others easy and nutritious recipes. To take so much of what I have learned, am learning, and my passion for living, eating and NOT dieting and share it with you.

My style: I do not tell myself “I can’t”- eat that, do that, achieve that…No restrictions. I  don’t believe you have to avoid certain foods in order to be healthy (unless there is an allergy, of course). Moderation and common sense are key. Having said that, I highly recommend limiting the amount of (or removing completely) added sugar and refined products in your diet. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of a high quality diet

I follow a simple guideline: Eat Real Food.

It’s about making choices and making the best choice 80% of the time with the right to live well and be happy.

It’s impossible to be perfect (and so boring!). Life is too short to eat bad food.

So hear I am. My attempt to simplify healthy, delicious food. Enjoy.
